A few different mixes of sweet peppers, but I also started jalapeño , shishito, habanero and Hungarian wax as well.

One of the sweet peppers are purple as well.

Looks great! You mentioned cold, I am trying 'Rocoto' peppers this season - I had a salsa and hot sauce made with them in Peru and the flavor blew my mind! They are native at higher elevations and are very cold tolerant, unusual for a pepper! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capsicum_pubescens check it out!

Neat! Did you get the seeds online?

Hrmm not resistant to frost, and 9 month veg period, that ain’t happening even with a greenhouse where I am.

Great to know about other peppers though! Never heard of them.

I hope there will be some updates worth posting! Last frost is end of May, so won’t be much updates other than starts and seedlings until then.

I am hoping to get a few up. I have 2 that I dewintered but they dies off, I cut them right down and was hoping to see green shoots by now...but no luck. Ill have to go grab some sproutlings from the garden centre. I feel like peppers should come in mixed seed packets.

Nice! I’ve wanted to grow my own peppers for years but have never gotten around to it

It’s a gamble where I am, the season is pretty short, so they need lots of care. I usually get established plants since I never start them early enough or the hardening takes them.

Last frost is end of May, but May can also be up to 30 degrees during the day. So mild weather spring stuff is almost right out without a greenhouse, which is on my list to get/do.

A heads up about those cheap China trays, they turn very fragile after they're wet for a bit. Kinda gross.

What other option is there? My other plastic ones lasted a few years until I left them in the sun in my cold frame and melted them -.-

They’re plastic and exposed to heat/cold and UV I’m not expecting them to last, but a couple years is fine for the price.

I save strawberry/blueberry containers but also have used these if this helps:

I use starter cubes, so sitting in water isn’t good for them, need something to wick as well.
