Jello's response

They’re taking the money $$$, and THEN pulling out? The real Dead Kennedys would never have let this happen in the first place. One more sordid reason I don’t ever want to play with them again.

I honestly had no idea the band still exists without Biafra. That's crazy.

It basically doesn’t. They haven’t made anything new, while Jello has released numerous albums without them.

Kind of a zombie band at this point.

Also, the response of continuing to play really gives Jello's initial criticism that the band was betraying their morals for money, kinda hits harder now in my opinion.

Honestly though, it's been very eye opening about the various bands' reactions to this situation.

we do not feel it would be fair to our supporters who have already purchased tickets & made plans to attend these shows

Because real Punk fans wouldn't be able to accept that a show had been cancelled in protest. Although, at this point are any real punk fans going to be at this show?

It's hilarious that they're still going without Jello Biafra.

The irony of this article ending with a link to the author's Twitter.
