You can also quickly disable biometrics at any time by holding the power button and the volume-up button on your phone at the same time.

Random advice like this is worse than no advice, given they mean, "some people can do that on specific phones".

On Android, you apparently just have to push the power button several times (six times, I think?). But yeah, the assumption that it's universal is tantamount to sharing misinformation.
