It's impossible to be apolitical. If you claim to be, either you're just undecided based on inconclusive evidence (so you should seek out evidence to form an opinion), or you're just too scared of opposition and 'drama', so you tacitly support the status quo

Neil Patrick Harris (famous actor, How I Met Your Mother) avoids engaging with politics when questioned, OP shows him celebrating Pride in Israel as kind of "gotcha". Trying to say he's pro-zionism privately but tries to hide it publicly.

The Berlinale censored pro-Palestine content using the excuse that art is apolitical but they are actually pro-Israel.

My take:

He's gay, apparently German, and now has gone to Israel to celebrate Pride

Which are all together a bizarre combination but I think the disappointment comes from the support of Israel
