So was thinking about throwing a DT house party in mid March - ish.

Anyone keen?

Inner east. PT all good tram w/ 109 / 48 and bus 200 / 207.

I'll come as long as it doesn't clash with anything else I've got on.

I'd be down if free. If you don't feel like hosting we could always do a city meetup for the Westies.

Edit: We could organise Uber pools home for people in different areas.

Yep, I'm in. Sounds fun!

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

Back home after an amazing city stay cation! There was shopping, drinking, not enough eating, resting, deep baths, beautiful views and even a quick river cruise.

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a swell weekend.

Imagine being yelled at by stray cats for buying the wrong brand of wet food.

Id say they're pretty ready for domesticated life lol

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

Congratulations, those are house cats now

Why the fuck does every Aussie dude have a moustache at the moment?

It looks fucking hilarious tbh lol

I thought it was confirmation bias but literally every single aussie dude in the 20-35 age bracket has a moustache.

[–] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 1 points 1 day ago

It feels like the hipster ironic daggy look never went away. There's one young guy at work with a moustache that actually works on him. He's look incredibly young without it

[–] Catfish@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

Horrid moustaches and the even worse stringy mullet.

I think they think it adds a little extra something for the ladies.

sex talkOral sex

[–] TheWitchofThornbury2@aussie.zone 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Abrasion rash is NOT sexy imo. Although I understand that shaving the upper lip can be awkward, particularly if there's a lot of hair growth due to raised testosterone levels. Or what they HOPE is raised testosterone levels.

Like scrubbing the front foyer of a temple with a bristle brush. It's not necessary.

And here I am growing out my sideburns.

Maybe i should start using my ears for that activity.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Let's know how you go with that.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago

A lot of women say dudes don't listen so at least I can say i tried.

I feel attacked. Although I used to have a full beard, then had a trimming accident and kept the mo for a change up. Also kept the β€œsoul patch” for some differentiation from the masses lol

I remember having a similar accident. Feeling wind on my face without facial hair was unsettling lol

Tinkering with the RockPi I got a little while ago. One of my soft new year resolutions is I want to actually do something with the computers I've picked up for some type of home networking thing, even if it's just mounting them as network drives for storage

Today's brunch

Something a bit different today - Saltbush & mushroom stir-fry, with eggs, fresh salsa and chipolatas.

The saltbush is growing really strongly and trying to take over the garden so I'm trying it in a few different things. It doesn't have much taste beyond salty. Bits chopped up through a salad has worked well, cooked it is a lot like spinach but doesn't cook down as much so I ended up with a much higher volume than I expected.
