I can't even remember why it used to be funny
Because how can he hold so many limes? He can't.
I still find it funny because the idea of the clothing company doing a photoshoot like "Ok try and hold these limes all at once. Here's another. And another. And another." until he's unable to hold all the limes and is lost in the absurdity of the moment so he's giggling uncontrollably, amuses me greatly.
I like it because it's such a nonsensical staged thing. Like it's so light-hearted and relatable to my everyday experience of being unable to hold all these limes.
"Does this ever happen to you?"
the picture might have been circulated around 4-chan and other old humor sites, but the text wasn't added until somethingawful featured it, and it was the mangled punctuation that turned it into a goldmine post.
