There was a complaint at trivia about one of the team names and whilst I admit I could have shown better judgement, I feel the trivia company could handle the day they're talking to me about it better. Instead of being direct it feels like they're trying to get me to entrap myself by asking about the night. I don't appreciate that

Saw a friend a couple of weeks ago and since then, she's been quite distant. I feel like I might have said something that triggered her but I don't know what. I asked her if she's okay and she said she's fine. We've been friends for ten years and I would think she'd communicate if she had a problem with something. I'm going to give her space and try not to overthink this shit. Brain has been doing too much overthinking about things I can't entirely control.

I've had similar because I told a friend to stop texting me epstein news. I know he's just sitting in his backyard smoking pot watching youtube and hitting share. I see enough news, I don't need that shit texted to me. If he's got his panties in a twist about it that's his problem.

Good night everyone

sweet dreams 😘

Just had a great after work gathering. Chilled in a secret dog after work gathering spot at Flagstaff gardens among all the dogs (got a bunch of cuddles and licks) with some friends for an hour, then went to get some noodles. Dopamine high

So learner drivers or teachers don’t bother learning basic hand signals anymore?

I had my hand up to signal β€œstop” to a learner who was trying to turn into a side street from the other direction, across a clear way with 2 lanes of traffic. I was in the right lane and could see a car flying up the left hand lane in my side mirror. The learner waved at me, and made the turn without any attempt to see if both lanes were clear. I got on the horn and the car in the left lane screeched to a holt, only just missing the oblivious learner and teacher.

I mostly drive a van and see the "instructor" on their phone, useless fucks.

Ugh, of course. People and their damn phones.

I'm feeling a bit flat today. Probably cos I stayed up past my bedtime to watch the Olympics. Meh it happens from time to time.

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Same here, I got hooked in by Olympics last night. Tonight I will turn off earlier.

I'm looking up recipes already. πŸ₯° Will have to get lactose free ingredients but that's not a problem. We have such good food here in Oz , we are so lucky. Will do the whole recipe from scratch, no cheating. Will even grate nutmeg and use mexican vanilla. πŸ‘

Thanks for the suggestion. Enjoy your tarts. πŸ˜‹

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Thank you. I will.

Protip : add a smol pinch of mace to the grated nutmeg. Deepens the flavour and adds immense complexity. Mace is almost forgotten as a spice and it shouldn't be. It's wonderful when used with discretion. Sweet dishes in particular are perfect with it. But the real virtue is including some in a curry powder/paste. That is revelatory.

3 nights of good sleep.

For some reason 5 hrs sleep down here is worth 8 back in Melbs. Might be because you can leave everything open for airflow and not really worry about security. Looking at the Crime dashboard it's wildly low. Could accidentally leave the place open all year and the odds are almost zero for a break in.

But back to the big smoke today.

There's no way to say this without sounding like a fuckwit, but I'm glad I've been going to the gym for the last 6ish years.
