As excited as I am for the movie, aren't they giving away a lot with these promos? Does (what I assume to be) Rocky's planet really need to be on the poster?

I saw these photos of gosling some time ago where he appeared to have had some (apparent) swelling of his face due maybe some plastic surg op.

Were those fake?
