- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

The mayor and the governor say things that sound like they are outrages by ICE but I guess they can’t or won’t get the police to side with the law abiding residents who pay their checks.
Reminder: police protect property, not people. They are not your friend or savior.
Typically right before they get fucked by them.
I don't think anyone is expecting them to. They are probably hoping they will though. I don't even live there, but I have heard their leaders say things that sound like they would use the police to protect them. I don't know if they actually want to or not, and the police aren't cooperating, or if it was just words. I'm sure most people expect the police to do what they always do though regardless.
It makes me wonder why the coppers don't just gun down everyone else in their cities and "confiscate" the real estate and resources for themselves.

Simple. They can claim all the houses and sell the surplus for liquidity. Alternatively, they can rent out the space for visitors. This means they can all become millionaires within the week.
Sell them to who? Who will want to live somewhere the cops just slaughtered everyone lol
Being a millionaire means nothing if your currency turns into Zimbabwe money and it costs 50million dollars to buy a burger

I think you underestimate how dumb the typical American is. Many will happily buy land in a city that got wiped out by their cops.

Do you know how easy it is to scam Americans out of their hard earned money? It's very easy, because they're very gullible. And having actual real estate to sell makes it even easier.

Did the protests escalate, or were they escalated. It makes a difference, do better journalists.
Agitators fired paintballs and were pepper spraying, according to some people that were in the area, and the cops did nothing about them.
They escalated after the slamming.
The nytimes didn't even mention that the protests were throwing dildos at ICE? What lame ass reporting.
