Every week, Juleon Cotillon and his girlfriend Jeanette Garibay visit Costco. They shop the bulk items, but they also enjoy one of the warehouse store’s iconic meals — the $1.50 hot dog and soda combo. However, there’s a conundrum: Cotillon says it’s hard to score a table and even harder to eat a snappy link with a soda while perusing the aisles because you need both hands. So, the local pastry chef came up with a creative solution.

I appreciate a $1.50 hotdog and soda just as much as the next shopper, but I have never personally nor ever seen anyone eating food court food while they were shopping.

Apparently it is “a thing” as I saw folks over on /r/costco talking about it like it was common place. I guess I just live in a classier region of the country…

The food court is almost always gated off from the entrance so you only get to it after getting through the check out where I am. The one exception is the one just down the street that has rhe food court outside. Don't even need a membership to get the hotdog combo at that one, and it's easier to get it before even going inside to shop.

At the stores near me, anyone can go to the food court, just go in the exit side the same as if you were going to customer service or the tire center, and head straight to the food court. If you feel like looking for samples, from there, just head in through the checkouts, and wander around to your heart's content.

I get a drink and walk around with it but thats the extent for me. Im actually not a fan of the pizza or hotdog.

Please be kind to your health:

hotdogs are NOT food.

Eating hotdogs is like siphoning shit gas from random derelict lawnmowers, into your new car.

Consequences accumulate.

I do not want to step in mustard in the aisles.

Our drink-holder of course needs a snack tray.

But where will it stop ? Should my snack tray have an inflation station ? Does my inflation station need a solar panel ? Will Katamari Damacy finally come in this form ?

Amerifats can't shop without a feedbag, JFC. Eat after you're done shopping

I’ve seen shoppers snacking in all sorts of countries. Here in colombia they even snack on stuff that they’re going to buy at checkout like a beer or some peanuts.
