It will be interesting to see how the hardware handles the Van Allen Belts. Radiation hardening is a fairly big part of spacecraft planning, and limits what hardware can be used.
I feel that the craft itself would be shielded so that the extraneous stuff inside doesn't have to be.
I heard that Artemis II will have all new shielding for crossing the Van Allen Belt and will be carrying test equipment to measure possible effects
In our current capitalist hellscape I think the crew will be listed as test equipment for measuring radiation.
Nah, astronauts are hella expensive.
I wish it were so. The spacecraft helps, but doesn't block everything.
I wonder if they still have the EDGE network up there. No 5g towers on the moon...
Maybe they'll connect directly to the deep space network
