I don't understand these people at all. Posting on a social network helps entrench it, everyone understands that more populated networks will attract more newcomers. Do they think the developers would stop having influence if only someone informed the rest of the userbase of what their beliefs are? Lemmy is just so close to being communist-free, we just need to rid ourselves of these pesky developers and get different ones. Have they even considered that lots of social networks not developed by leftists already exist?
Roles reversed, if I were on a federated network and found out it was developed by people with politics I find abhorrent (let's say fascist), I would not be content to just move to a different instance and hope the nazi problem goes away if I whine loudly enough. The sheer lack of thought makes you think they don't even care that much and just want to complain for its own sake.
