They're also bringing back the 2fortnite unlocks, so you know this is some desperate ploy to keep their gacha economy from being liquidated after defacto ending support for TF2

Guaranteed a single one of the low effort seasonal crate updates gives more money than whatever profits valve will get from this, pretty sure the devs just really like the game and want to improve it.

Particularly given that they're trying to fix the unglamorous shit like AI that busts itself out of the game because it got assigned the archetype of bad at poker.

I wondered what was going on when it got pulled from steam. Poker Night 2 is my go to when I want to gamble but am poor, so I would appreciate a new one. Though it would probably have a Deadlock character in it and I haven't played that yet.

defacto ending support for TF2

“Ending support” must mean something else in your vocabulary if they’re releasing an update every other week and still doing seasonal updates after 18 years.

Sorry if that's hyperbolic, but it's taken entire social media campaigns to get them lift a finger about very basic issues.

The weekly updates are largely bug fixes because the game is breaking with every seasonal hat injection.
