I mean.. "scary island" is probably one of the top genres in Japanese horror/mystery fiction. Then again, I guess this is a case of "there's no bad publicity".

Epstein's island wasn't even the first private island set up for sex crimes focused on pedophilia. It's just better known because it's tied to the president.
