Who are we?
We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.
We are one. We are legion. And we're trying really hard not to forget.

The DA wouldn't care that it was the graves of a bunch of pedo's. The indictment would just read 'Defendant with poor life choices vs. The State.' I'm not going to jail as a martyr for their legacy. Pass.
And now we see why the world is the way it is.
Cases take time to build and evidence is not proof so investigations are needed for each clue to determine what's actual criminal. These files just released. Give it time.

Yes. The boy scouts and Catholics have no more reports by people who claim to be victims. Real change happened and no one seemed to care but shit did change. Just because you don't notice doesn't mean things are stuck being the same.
The files were held by the DOJ, the literal department responsible for investigating crimes of this magnitude.
They've been held for at least two administrations and were ordered released by an act of Congress.
At what point is it "enough time"?

Set 9 doesn't appear to be complete either.
That is because unredacted csam were found and reported on those 2 datasets. I hope csam gets redacted and the pedos names fully unredacted so we can continue our efforts to save the data and hold the pedos accountable.
It feels like they're trying to cover it all up even after releasing at the same time under and somehow overly redacted files
