Im still trying to find out how everything works here and for some reason i got ban wtf... i want to see if i am still able to write here. You basically my test person i hope thats ok.
I checked the modlog. Apparently you're banned from piefed.ca. Might be a mistake. I don't see any bad behavior from your account.
Thanks for the information even tho i dont really understand the magnitude* of this ban. Joined, posted 3 memes, got banned there. Nice welcome gift i guess
It should not have a large effect, as many other big communities are on other instances. This community is on lemmy.world, you'll have no problem commenting here.
Ban reason says "new unknown account; same deleted user behavior", might be an error. Pinging @shadow@piefed.ca and @otter@piefed.ca , maybe one of you wants to investigate.
I don't think they can see this thread when they banned the thread creator.
Tell me things about piefed. I just use lemmy on voyager for my meme fixes. It took a fair amount of time to figure out fediverse as a regard. I use minimal tech on mobile only. That said I am thrilled with the premise of decentralized internet not owned by corporations and my right to curate my feeds with privacy intact. Is piefed for me?
I switched from lemmy to piefed a few months ago. Most of my experience has been pretty much the same, though I do find that I have to block fewer people/communities to curate my experience on piefed. To use an analogy, piefed feels like lemmy with safesearch enabled. I like the experience with piefed more, but its a fairly marginal difference imo and I'd be fine to move back to lemmy if piefed went down or something
