Because the steam native DRM isn't enough. They just need to ensure the worst possible experience for the legitimate customers. God forbid a modern game runs good, or at all, in the case of GNU/Linux.

Im pretty sure it's unsupported by default because of Denuvo tbh. Last I heard it didnt work on Linux.
