An international (English speaking) socialist Lemmy community free of the “ML” influence of instances like lemmy.ml and lemmygrad. This is a place for undogmatic shitposting and memes from a progressive, anti-capitalist and truly anti-imperialist perspective, regardless of specific ideology.

Be a decent person.
No racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, zionism/nazism, and so on.

I've seen a lot of misandry on lemmy in the last weeks

I overwhelmingly see misogyny on here. Admittedly, not nearly as much misogyny as at The Old Place, but legitimate misandry is much rarer.

Lots of misogyny masked as complaint about misandry.

My personal experience uploading decently popular satire on multiple platforms is that, when comparing the reactions I get on various social media, Lemmy has the undisputed worst reactions on two topics: sexism and racism.

Anything satirizing sexist issues will get accused of being a psyop, bot content, trying to create dissent, misandry, etc. with some users convinced that there's an ongoing campaign to "push" a narrative about men on the platform.

Which is interesting given that Lemmy users love to circlejerk about being more progressive than the rest of the Internet.
