Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Some...

Its shouldn't be a question. There should be an investigation every time there is a shooting. Not even only fatal ones

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Why is my state Governor in the thumbnail? That fucker loves Trump and licks his boots.

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 2 points 21 hours ago

They're still licking his boots. This is part of the coverup. The regime is already shifting the narrative to "we're going to do a complete impartial investigation". They're trying to deflect the outrage into that sham investigation so that people calm down and they can later announce that there was no wrongdoing.

It really seems like an open and shut case. Like, why is this a question?

Shit, if only "some" republicans are calling for an investigation, that implies that "most" republicans think that this is totally and without question, acceptable.

That should be very, very scary, regardless of white side you're on.

Here's something people need to consider.

It takes a while for people to change their minds, especially if they've gone as far as the Trump supporters have.

I'd love to have every GOP in Congress stand up tomorrow and move to impeach him. It's not going to happen.

Slow motion is better than no motion.

Quite frankly Im just happy to read something laying blame at Republicans for once. Why they always get a pass for being the shitstains they are is beyond me.

If this were any other situation with these videos, the murderer would already be arrested.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

Well, if you see how quickly they sprung into action over those church protests and already made arrests, you get a very clear idea of their values and their priorities.

I mean, who was harmed in any of those protests? Was anyone even remotely endangered at the church protest? Threatened? No? Okay, mildly inconvenienced? I saw Blondi claiming someone broke their arm because they ran out the back door in terror, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that. Since she is nothing but a fucking lying bitch, I won't take her word for it...

Meanwhile, ICE executes someone out on the street and so far no outcome at all.

The video clearly shows one of the brownshirts dumping a couple extra rounds into an immobile body prone on the ground. By literally any standard, that guy should be in jail right now. "Some" Republicans "calling for" "investigation" is entirely devoid of substance.

Calling for an investigation without acknowledging that

  1. there needs to be a truly independent and trustworthy judicial entity to investigate and judge this

  2. there needs to be a powerful enforcement entity able to enforce - violently if necessary - these judgement, because these thugs aren't going to submit to whatever consequence they action entails for sure
