I never ended up adopting docker. Tried a couple times, but always thought it made things more complex rather than simplifying shit.

Docker was so successful that rent seeking profit extraction is too difficult to do, now we installed oracle alum as a CEO to do rent seeking.

Death to capitalism.

Yeeeep, I never trusted docker.

Maybe I can get some help. I am looking for a replacement for docker. I just want to run server based services in sandboxed containers on a local system for a few users. I also want some sort of package manager (much like docker) where I can lock it into my own repository. Finally I need a watchdog to watch the containers, update them, and maybe allow me to link to any runnjng service from a single domain (I can build that myself probably). I essentually want to spin the whole set up into a very simple linux image.
