I think its bloodletting then leeches...

That won't stop courts from ordering brain implants as a condition of parole, maybe even of bail. President branded brain implants made by smarmy silicon valley douche lord that cheated their way into approvals and contracts.

Completely different technology. There is no bi-directional communication like what Neuralink is attempting. No networking, no reporting, no recording. Just on-off pulses in the microseconds less than 200 times a second.

It is more of something akin to a metronome for improperly firing neurons. The patient also has full ability to turn, what looks like a pacemaker, on or off and adjust different settings.

It's a technology that's been around for more than 30 years and has been helping people with movement disorders (myself included) since.

This study looks questionable.

Sham TNS delivered 30 seconds of stimulation per hour at lower frequency and pulse width

It seems just as likely that TNS isn't particularly sensitive to the frequency and pulse width.

It also looks like a lot of the researchers have funding from pharmaceutical companies.

In this case sham is British for placebo. Only the control group got the “sham tns”.

I realise that, my point is that the "sham TNS" may be acting as active TNS.

They found no improvement in either group, so no.

lol, being called "sham" surely can't help

Sham is a term for control and it's the proper way to do a study. This toy is bullshit, now quantified.
