That won't stop courts from ordering brain implants as a condition of parole, maybe even of bail. President branded brain implants made by smarmy silicon valley douche lord that cheated their way into approvals and contracts.

Completely different technology. There is no bi-directional communication like what Neuralink is attempting. No networking, no reporting, no recording. Just on-off pulses in the microseconds less than 200 times a second.

It is more of something akin to a metronome for improperly firing neurons. The patient also has full ability to turn, what looks like a pacemaker, on or off and adjust different settings.

It's a technology that's been around for more than 30 years and has been helping people with movement disorders (myself included) since.
