What use does the Coast Guard have for a plane designed to kill tanks and provide CAS? Seems less than ideal for patrolling coastal waters.

A 300 lb WDU-24/B penetrating blast-fragmentation warhead is really the swiss army knife of marine rescue operations.
(it also still has the GAU-8 in the snoot, too, so idk. There's not all that much call for maritime close air support.)
