Born too late to have a livable minimum wage

Born too early to have an animal tail surgically attached to my body

Born just in time to have a payment plan for the hot dog I purchased

"According to Jelinek, Sinegal replied, "If you raise the effing hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out.""

That's such a legendary quote. It pops into my head a lot more often than it should, lol.

If you want things attached to your ass look up Dr Josef Heiter. He's a German surgeon known for doing slightly more unusual surgeries.

My eyes just caught "Dr Josef" and "German surgeon" while skimming and I was worried for a second

Look him up. It's not as bad as Mengele, but not great lol.

you had one though i don't think you'll be able to reattach that one.

Most chairs would be annoying

Pants?

People janking on your tail?

I dont see any advantage

Yup... There was a time in my life where I would wear tails (or scarves) off the back of my pants. There was always some jackass who thinks they're funny yanking on it, often breaking the tails and/or my pants - sometimes irreparably. :( I don't understand why people have to be such jerks. Now imagine if it was part of my body! I've had people randomly yank my ponytail and that's bad enough; a real tail would be sooo much worse.

But I do understand that there are those out there who would still kill to have a tail, even with all the bullshit. I hope they can fulfill their wish someday!

Main advantage: have tail

A big floofy snow leopard tail would be cool, probably a lot of maintenance tho

In theory you could. The body and especially the brain are incredibly adaptive, and we already know how to attach limbs with pretty high success rates.

So in theory you could either surgically fashion a tail from other body parts, or (still super early tech with mostly failed attempts) decellulise an animal tail.

Once you have a tail you can just attach it to some veins, arteries, nerves and muscles. After a healing period you will start physical therapy and slowly learn how to control it.

putting a new body part on is a lot less easy than reattaching a limb someone already had, something that comes with pretty strict requirements of its own.

I mean… they make fake ones you can attach if so inclined.

Yeah, that's a good idea, why don't they find a way to turn everyone into a furry, that would make a better world (I think)

Yeah it's not that uncommon

PubMed is often quite reliable, because they host peer-reviewed articles. besides this one, there's a bunch of medical sources that report on the existence of vestigial tails and pseudo-tails. so I would say yes, though I assume op meant something more like a fur covered one.
