Yep. When I looked up the term, I got this summary:
Tofu dreg is a Chinese slang term, literally meaning "tofu residue," used metaphorically to describe poorly constructed buildings or infrastructure that are structurally unsound and prone to collapse. The phrase was first coined by former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji in 1998 during a visit to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, where he criticized flimsy flood defenses as being "as weak as tofu dregs."
This is what most of China's rapid construction projects end up being. And that's only the stuff that's uncensored or managed to escape censorship.
Worker and civilian safety is not a priority in China, it's shocking the amount of footage of unsafe working conditions there is, so many factory deaths are due to literally no guardrails. Yet Tankies, supposed communists, don't give a shit about worker rights.

WTF is "orientalism"?
Traditionally it means a racist mock depiction of Asian culture and art. What tankies understand as orientalism: When non-Asians talk about what happens in Asia. They think it is like mansplaining or Americansplaining stuff (when people who have no idea about x topic talk about said topic). In short, tankies just simply think they know better and everyone else only makes racist assumptions about China.

In this context it refers to Westerners patronizing Asians and people from the Middle East. It comes from Orient and also is used to describe Western art, which immitates arts from the North Africa, Middle East and Asia. So it depends on the context if it is actually bad.

Not necessarily imitate their art (which would probably result in artistically more interesting works), but mainly present the foreign people and cultures in an exoticising and stereotyped manner, as objects of fascination rather than normal culture.
I personally like a lot of the art, which is very clearly Orientalism. Gaudi for example clearly stands on his own, but also obviously imitated Islamic tile art, especially in his early works. Also a lot of Art Nouveau graphic art imitates very clearly Chinese and especially Japanese prints. I also have a hard time seeing it as racist to do so, but sure I guess I am and stuff like this is shit.
