The only right thing scum like Bobby Kotick can do is drop dead for what he had a hand in doing to the market and his crimes.

Amen. I miss old Blizzard.

Old Blizzard was dead long before activision bought it.

Anyone else think a seismic shift is coming for gaming soon? Like "Crash of 1983" level of catastrophic.

Triple-A games just don't have any heart and soul while crammed full of micro transactions. Shovelware makes it harder for good titles to float to the top.

Indie studios are our best hope.

Nah, 2024 we had good AAA, 2023 we had BG3, 2022 Elden Ring every year we have at least one or two really good AAA.

We survived the past decade with every fucking stupid ubisoft like type of game.

Triple AAA, maybe.

Indie Studios have genuine fans, who don't need the latest GPU, CPU and RAM to keep buying their games.

The gems aren't hard to find. Good games have fans singing them praises from the rooftops.

I could give you an almost endless list if you asked for good games, and they wouldn't all be old.

Depends on the genre. Not every genre gets a boatload of new good games every year.

We only got like 2 action games last year and one of them was not so warmly received (Lost Soul Aside) and a handful of indies in early access.

By action, I mean Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden… etc. not the broad, useless Game Awards definition.

Not many new good shmups or fighting games either.

I mean I would like to believe that but these "shovelware" games are still extremely popular and make tons of money. It's just a gamble. Will your shovelware become Fortnite or Concord?

"We spent years making those games worse and now no one wants to buy them! "

Piss off Kotick. No one wants you. You are irrelevant.

Seems to me that 69 Billion seems like more than enough justification to me…..
