Good night everyone, sweet dreams ๐Ÿ˜˜

Iโ€™ve implemented some long awaited admin improvements at work and itโ€™s such a relief having it done. Cuts down on the brain clutter.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 7 hours ago

Always so nice when you have a success like that!!

Really taken off for some reason.

Oh man, next time try a rocoto. We had one in a hydro bucket, went apeshit

That looks awesome man!

Ok I have locked in AO plans with some friends for my birthday, I think thatโ€™s much better than the home sulking option which was option 2. No working on that day too.

Co-worker had to bring his kid in today due to an emergency situation and wow what a little Princess brat.

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Sounds awful.

Has your Pokรฉmon been crashing horridly today per chance?

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 4 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Nope, but I haven't really opened it much! Hopefully whatever it is gets fixed quick!

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 10 hours ago

Utterly unplayable. Am irked.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 4 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Give it a candy bar as it goes home for the day.

Missed opportunity!

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Fell asleep putting the kids down last night and woke up at 10pm. Feeling very Glugged now. However I did start a sorcerer run of Dark Souls and I can see how it's the unofficial easy mode

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I've never played any of the Dark Souls games, I wonder if I should give it a go sometimes. Though I'm very tempted to give Baulder's Gate III another crack. But I've also got Mario games to play. Sadly boyo got bored of Traveller's Rest very quickly.

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 2 points 8 hours ago

They're fun once you get used to them. Probably the biggest thing is they're very replayable since there are so many weapons and builds you can do

[โ€“] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 5 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago) (3 children)

I was late with Melbcatโ€™s breakfast and meds because of amazing morning cuddles. I didnโ€™t want to disturb her or let them end.

[โ€“] T156@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

I'm more surprised she didn't end them first when she realised breakfast was to be late.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 6 points 18 hours ago

That's so sweet โค๏ธ

I could do with a pat on the head and a little scratch behind the ears rn.

[โ€“] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 19 hours ago

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 4 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

I backed into a tree yesterday because I couldn't see out the back with the sunset on the dust. Luckily the tree is fine and my van is a shitbox tank.

hugs from a little distance, hope you feel better soon

Put the skeleton of the server rack in my office and racked my UPS, webserver and home automation proxmox enclosure. Oh it's ever so handsome, even if I haven't done the sides yet or finished stuffing it with delicious goodies.

(the sides were those pieces I was template routing last week. Not sure if want to carve or applique or paint, still mulling the baroque ideas. But I knew for certain I wanted the farkin' servers off my goddamn office floor, so I templated them so I could populate the frame)

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

If you are going for baroque, I must insist that there be gilded papiermache cherubs at the corners - preferably blowing trumpets. Some nice scrollwork would be an advantage I feel. Strap & jewel work might not be quite the right vibe, but you can't go wrong with roundels.

[โ€“] Taleya@aussie.zone 2 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago) (1 children)

I am also considering a ridiculous mash of victorian steampunk and floral themes. The two apetures are going to be pop off windows, but i can get wonderfully baroque or gothic window films that I can put on the Perspex that's going to be the windows. Also going to backlight them very subtly.

the environs

(Please ignore tape and crap everywhere)

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 3 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Oooh, go hogwild! I would be very tempted to let Grinling Gibbons be my guide (see example) - but Victorian steampunk sounds pretty damn fantastic.

[โ€“] calhoon2005@aussie.zone 2 points 8 hours ago

[โ€“] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Driving a hybrid car while I wait for news on my little Beastie and the noise it makes when the EV kicks in makes me both laugh and wince. I've nicknamed the car Myrtle after Moaning Myrtle because of it.

[โ€“] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 7 points 1 day ago

Ugh, too early. Puts on eye mask

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 6 points 1 day ago

There's a samurai double feature on at Nova tonight. I'd love to go but it starts at 7 and that will just be impossible with where i live and dealing with kids. I watched one of the movies years ago and it was good so it would be great to watch again
