For those who don't know Walden J. Whitetail:

Walden is a stunning deer fursuit originally built and owned by Shawn Keller [circa 1990] and now owned by Yippee Coyote.

It's really interesting to see that old fursuits are still around, and that they apparently keep changing hands. Fursuits always feel like something incredibly personal to me because they're usually your fursona, but I also get the appeal of buying a suit that has a history. A very cool find, thank you for sharing it here :3

Dunno about any "keeps changing hands" cases, unless that's common theme on Gale's "This Old Fursuit" articles?

AFAIK for both 90s makers I can name off the top of my head (Shawn Keller and Robert Hill), the story went something like:

  • made a ton of personal fursuits cuz they wanted to, that was their craft
  • ran out of space in their home or fell on hard times and had to sell some
  • almost all of them went to a trusted friend for storage, who obv let the maker still wear their own OCs when they wanted to
