I'm really disappointed in Episode 1. I love Robin Hood, I love Sean Bean but this isn't great. Any point staying with it?

Haven't yet but thats disappointing to hear, what didn't you like about it?

It's not gritty and realistic, and there's unrealistic things like blankets that are too clean and good condition, clean hair etc. This is a big bear of mine in historical stuff so might be me.

Cinematography borders on soap opera quality sometimes. Plot is weak, actor playing Robin doesn't grab me and there's some clunking dialogue. So far it's "easy, have on in the background" TV.

I fucking love Sean Bean so I hope it gets better

Is everything clean? The Middle Ages weren’t all gritty and dirty. People liked to be clean and well groomed back then, too. Usually, Hollywood leans on the dirty, gritty trope too heavily. But, if people living in Sherwood have the whitest whites, that’d be unrealistic.
