It took Americans the murder of one white person by the imperial boomerang to finally (kind of) wake up.

They didn't wake up, they started reacting. Now the leftists in America will use this opportunity to direct the people towards the path of developing class consciousness.

Someone who was already being pushed towards it might have had this as a moment of "realization", but destruction in and of itself doesn't create class consciousness.

Severely overestimating.

The problem is they've woken a bunch of times, but unconsciously or consciously, most have chose not to go with the whole plan...

Material conditions. There's no general strike fund and no safety net here. Of course people are going to keep showing up to work when there's no realistic alternative.

This tbh. Without dual power (e.g. a militant organized labor movement) and some kind of vanguard structure, spontaneous movements/uprisings inevitably fizzle out.

This. It's as if amerikkkans unconsciously find out they benefit from this shit more than they are affected and collectively go back to brunch

nah that would require an understanding of geopolitics that we simply do not have. there's no vanguard to harness the energy and people have to pay rent and buy groceries. with no covid checks or extra unemployment this time i'd expect the protest will be smaller or shorter than it was for george floyd.

It’s been like twelve hours, nobody knows whether anybody has woken up or not. I haven’t even seen a video of a police car on fire yet.

The most probable outcome.

Nah they're just going to swallow the "she was trying to run them over" line and continue to ignore all evidence to the contrary.

amerikkka pigs killed a white australian woman a few years ago and it didn't lead to anything

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 4 points 1 day ago

She also had a wife, so I guess we'll see where the narrative goes.
