The French Presidency informed that 27 heads of State and Government addressed the modalities for a cessation of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.
Discussions included a Trump-promoted peace plan, which the Europeans are trying to exert less pressure on Kyiv, particularly regarding territorial concessions to Moscow.
The leading countries of the Coalition of the Willing, France and the United Kingdom, sought the deployment of a multinational force to act as a guarantor, an initiative vehemently opposed by Russia.
The Elysee Palace announced that this deployment was one of the issues of the meeting.
