In a shocker to absolutely no one, republicans prioritize hate and profits over anything they claim to actually care about.
I think this latest step in a series of equally horrifying steps fully supports the things ~~republicans~~ fascists care about.
Because obviously it's all immigrants' fault. They're all either drug dealers or child abusers. So getting rid of them will solve the problems.

I haven't seen Rubio talk very much, but if I met someone acting like that I would be certain they were on coke or speed. The confidence makes me think cocaine though.
Child exploration is what Republicans do best - see the Epstein Files, what aren't redacted -so why would they even want to prioritize that?

The latter is profitable to the GOP; the former entertains them. They're never gonna go against either in earnest. They're just gonna go after poor people. That's what they do. This is what people voted for (or refused to vote against). Our best hope is that people learn and vote better next time. It may have to get worse before it gets better.
These are the people who took their food stamps because they couldn't take their healthcare fast enough. They took that anyway. But some of them will still vote red because they hate brown people and LGBTQ+ people more than the GOP hurts them.
Uh no, your only hope is not to “hope people vote better.” There are lots of things you can do. That you must do. You will not vote your way out of this.
