Every 20 years there's a new batch of ignorant 20 year olds fresh off the US education system with only a handful of elections under their belts. You don't have to change the story all that often if you never teach history to the kids.

He just recently "declared" that fentanyl is a "weapon of mass destruction" too...so I guess they have all their bases covered.
