Started playing Hades 1 just to test how much linux gaming improved.

Holy hell this game is good. I have terribe reaction time so I picked the spear and it became more about keeping to right distance than dodging.

Somewhat felt repeating and grindy but introduced new characters right after so it was worth it.

never was able to beat the last boss before I put it down last year.

but its a great game.

Try enabling Deus Ex. You take less damage every time you die

It's not all bad, I'm still working on Hades I

My opinion on that for myself is that it is better to watch a video guide on a boss to be able to enjoy an amazing game rather than abandon it completely.

The other thing to say is (for roguelites generally) attack power = defense. It's usually a damage check. If you can't output enough damage then you can't really go on dodging endlessly in a major boss fight. The best defense is to be able to put out enough damage to end it (relatively) quickly.

True, but also I could only beat the last boss with the shield weapon for a very long time.

I couldn't defeat a single level in Hades I. Am I just bad at games? I want to play this and stuff like Elden Ring

I was like you. My reflexes suck. I turned on god mode which makes the game slightly easier the more you die. Also tried to dodge more than to attack, and got so much better!

Also watched some build guides, that definitely helped in the long run!

Oh I should try this

How long did you play? You get stronger the more you die, so it should slowly get easier to beat the first stage.

Ah, well I'm pretty sure you get get more lives if you played a bit longer, but you gotta really be enjoying it while struggling at the same time.

I'm pretty bad at games like this. Hades 2 is immensely better IMO

Absolutely amazing game

I voted for Ball x Pitt. Love that game.

Excellent game and it runs great on the deck. I've put in like 50 hours since getting mine a month ago.
