i used to be forced to shave my legs a lot by my family and they still constantly comment on my hairy legs, but having hairy legs makes me feel more masculine. the guy i like, however, doesn't wanna pressure me, but also wants me to shave my legs. should i do it?

I'm a cis guy.

I used to shave my legs for fencing and swimming. I didn't mind how they look or felt, but I'd get weird comments about em looking feminine. Didn't like that. My legs, not yours, none-ya-business.

Same to you, dude. Shave em, don't shave em, it's really up to you. It's no one else's business how you wanna wear your body.

I did swimming and fencing in the distant past. I shaved for swimming (to reduce drag) but I haven't heard of anyone shaving for fencing. What benefits does it have?

Buddy, I dunno I think our coach was just a weirdo.

does the guy you like recognize you as a guy?

I think this line of thought is really important here. You two may like each other but just be incompatible due to gender identiny and sexuality. It really sucks if that's the case, but it's better to recognise it earlier rather than later.

No. Don't shave them. Enough is enough. It's time for you to do what feels good for you. Having hair on your legs makes you feel gender euphoric? Hell yeah, my dude!

They're you're legs, your choice. People need to shut up and keep their opinions for themselves, sometimes, they shouldn't have a say in these things.

I’m a guy and wouldn’t shave my legs for a partner (and don’t expect my partner to shave either). Do what feels comfortable and don’t be pressured into something you don’t wanna do.

I'm a cishet guy and I would only electric shave them with something like philips bodygroom. I have also done so a few times for short term partners. The reason is that this is quick and easy and isn't bad for the skin (at least for my skin, but ppl are different).

Nobody should shave their legs unless they personally want to

The only opinion that ultimately matters is your own. If not shaving your legs makes you happier than if you did then thats your answer. I can understand wanting to look appealing to a potential partner but its your body not theirs. As usual the best advice is to talk about how you feel with your potential partner. Talk about how you feel more like you when you do have hairy legs and then its up to them whether they can deal with your decision or they can't and move on

I would say don't myself. If it's a source of gender euphoria for you its not worth changing for someone else. Some people like guys who have shaved all over like swimmers do, but you don't have to become that if you don't want to

Don't do it if it doesn't make you happy, bro. I don't shave my legs either.

No, don't do it just because someone asked you to
