There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

Not a fan of the dual sink setup, but I really like that sprayer!

New sink is needed, but not currently in the budget. The faucet is a life-changer. I love it more than words can express. In the dullest possible sense.

What's the deal with the metal frame contraption surrounding your sink?

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It’s a dish drying rack. I think I posted about it back when I got it.

That's actually clever, it looks like it will drip dry into the plumbed sink. I'll think about this every time I wipe the pool of water on my counter.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

This is definitely one of the benefits

I bought one after seeing a post on Lemmy. Saves a ton of space in our tiny kitchen!

What's wrong with dual sinks? I miss mine a lot, when I moved to my current apartment we got a single instead, and it's quite limiting as far as washing dishes goes.

I dislike my dual sink because I can't fit my big cutting boards or cast iron rectangular griddle in it. At least, not without them propped up on the center divider, making water splash everywhere.

I see! My last double sink was something like 1/4-3/4 in dimensions between the sub-sinks, giving me no issues with washing the larger items. My current one is too small for comfort, really, but I just can't justify replacing it while it's functioning fine.

Waiting for them to arrive. I didn’t know what was under the faucet deck plate until I removed it.

You can get soap dispensers that fit in those holes. Might be good for the one on the left.

Also waiting on them to arrive ;) (I got a two pack)

Don't forget to putty or silicone the covers

Do you like that rack you have over the sink? I saw one for sale recently and found it intriguing.

[–] slaughterhouse@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 week ago

Not OP, but I've got one, and I love it. It's a great place to let larger dishes drip dry.

[–] Bosht@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

I've had one for about 3 years. Absolutely amazing if you wash dishes by hand to any extent. I'm part of a large family so we usually have a dishwasher load plus some extras. Also frees up counter space that would normally have the drying rack full of dishes. My only suggestion is make sure to measure the width of your sink. They come in a variety of configurations and sizes.

I do. But get it as cheap as you can. There’s Assholes drop shipping it on Facebook for like $134.99. I think I paid no more than $35.

[–] Tikiporch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Do people really buy things on Facebook?

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

It's probably more common in places outside of the US.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

Well, they just link to websites, but yes. They do.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Congrats on your new Faucitron 3000 Ultra

[–] Masamune@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What is the R2D2 arm for? Never seen that before.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

It holds the sprayer in place

[–] s3rvant@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 week ago

We just installed that same faucet recently too; we ended up not using the little arm thing so it's kinda annoying but otherwise it's been a nice upgrade.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think I might have ordered that faucet a few days ago. Wayfair?

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

Amazon. “Gimili” brand.

We have that exact faucet, and it's the best!

Where's the "after" picture?
