And that's just one case, there is also Meta's enablement of the Rohingya genocide, which is arguably a far more serious crime than systematic enablement of mass scale fraud.
FACEBOOK has been shoving right wing content to its user for at least a decade or more. why would they stop, and its a big revenue source, plus AI is helping doing that. this is REDDITS FUTURE TOO.

I deleted my Facebook profile last year after 18 years and never looked back. It's a totally different platform than what I signed up for almost two decades ago. Absolutely zero value for me now.
I'm so glad Valve is releasing a VR headset so I don't need to have anything to do with a trash company like Meta.
Valve has had a vr headset for a while now, they just have a new one coming out.

Harder to find? When I accidentally go to Facebook I exclusively get scam ads (I disabled ads personalization, though)
As if there's not already more than enough reasons to always have an ad blocker... If you absolutely still need to use Facebook and Instagramto keep in touch with people, there's browser extensions and patched apps that still block the ads.
If you are on Android, Revanced has several ad-free versions for popular applications like YouTube and spotify. I paid 30 bucks for a lifetime subscription to AdGuard back in 2019 and the experience has been extraordinary.
It's always a jarring experience to use someone else's phone. Ads take up at least a third of the screen at any given time now. I'm not swimming in that shit.
Can you recommend any such patched app for Facebook?
Don't really use Facebook anymore so I can't help you there I'm afraid.
Meta actively doesn’t care about AI fake profiles or scammy shit.
Even TikTok cares more and actually take down shit if you report it and it’s supposed to be the evil propaganda machine 😆

Fortunately a good number of comments point out that it is AI crap. For some reason the majority of these videos come from Pakistan and the middle east.

I'd love to delete/suspend my Facebook but unfortunately it is the only conctact I have for many ex work colleagues and some friends.
are they really your friends though if they dont want to engage with you over any other way?
Honestly, many friends who live in other towns I stay in touch with using messanger so theoretically I could disable Facebook and keep messenger but Facebook is more for former work colleagues that I occasionally say hi to. It would have been a lot easier if i could just have WhatsApp with timeline and marketplace.
Same, it is mainly a messaging platform for me for people who I otherwise can't reach.
i only ever used FB for game related tokens, like for RS which offer tokens, or keys for doing "fake scam offers". othr than that i never use it. only recently UBLOCK to get around thier login popups, so i can download new RA2 maps.
making them harder to find makes them more effective
what people get even more angry about is the suggestion that they delete their facebook account
