Which type of player are you?

Without a bounty system to control this behavior, this game will die. As it is, I find myself playing it less because of these types being EVERYWHERE.

Sounds like your average miserable console player. But also, maybe it's my social anxiety but I would rarely if not never use the fill team option. My experience is miles better playing solo, and teams only with friends. I would never trust random players to coordinate efficiently in this game.

Yeah I think it depends on peoples play styles. When I play with my cousin who pvp's all the time the rounds are chaotic and everyone shoots on site. When I play with some discord friends who are just trying to finish up quests and projects its way more chill, at least until we do free loadouts on Stella montis

Worth reporting. Seems unlikely Embark wants that behavior.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for squads, I’d check some Discord servers and team up with people that way. Good luck!

A bounty system wouldn't fix this. That should be bannable imho. Report it and hopefully they ban those guys because that's such shitty behavior.

I agree they deserve an account-level penalty but hear me out on a bounty system.

If you damage me, I should be able to put up a bounty but up to a certain limit so it’s not abused. If you kill me, I should be able to put a bounty on your head up to the limits of what my inventory/credits are worth.

Take these two assholes, for example. I would bet my several millions towards the first person to kill these assholes. They’d be marked in-game for others to see and take out. They’d have to be looted in-game to “claim” the bounty. Maybe have the bounty item sit permanently in their inventory and make it weigh 20 pounds until they’re killed.

This type of thing opens a new avenue for gameplay. I’d become a bounty hunter. Now Embark could sell me outfits to match my bounty hunter status and even grant me class-specific perks to earn as a bounty hunter.

Recap: If you kill me, I put up a bounty limited by my inventory’s worth. You get a permanent heavy item to lug around until someone kills you and takes it off you. They turn it in for the bounty reward.

I'm not opposed to a bounty system, I think some amount of visual notification that the player you're talking to or looking at is a rat or a PoS is interesting. There's something to say though about it removing the human element having to trust someone, which I think these games capture extremely well.

If the developer cared to stop this, they would just not have friendly fire being a thing. The fact that friendly fire is in the game means they expect this behavior to happen and are fine with it.
