Hello everyone. My name is Cyara Kaira a transgender refugee currently living in South Sudan. I’m part of a small group of refugees who depend on mutual aid for survival especially for essentials like rent, food and emergency medical needs. Life here is extremely unstable and unsafe for people like us and the support from this community is really not good at all.

I’m really sorry for reaching out at such late hours and for asking for help so close to the deadline. Honestly we truly believed that by now we would have managed to complete the rent through our own saving efforts. We’ve been collecting and saving what we could and we managed to raise $585 but we are still short by $365 which is the remaining amount needed. Our rent is due tomorrow the 21st and this is why I’m reaching out now. I kindly ask for any support so we don’t lose our shelter.

I also want to sincerely thank everyone who has been supporting us through this horrible situation. Your kindness means more to us than words can express. As transgender refugees in South Sudan our support has helped us survive during extremely difficult times.

This festive season has become especially dangerous. There have been increased police arrests, a lot of commotion and targeting of foreigners which has forced us to stay indoors for safety. Because of this having secure shelter is critical right now. We’re also struggling with food and hoping to stock at least some basics, especially with Christmas approaching.

Please support us through the support link in my bio/profile

Thank you so much CyaraKaira
