what made [AnimeJunkes, a 2000's era fansub group] a laughingstock was when they translated a line from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, about numerous kidnappings by foreign mafia agents, as "Are you aware of the frequent occurrences of the mass naked child events within the country?" The "mass naked child events" line became a meme referring to terrible translations.
