What I don't understand about these people that only care when it affects them personally, is why they always seem to think everyone else should now care about their issue?

I mean, I do because I'm not an asshole, but the cognitive dissonance is wild.

White is pretty poorly defined. Look at the history of the US.

Lots of people want to be in the "in" group, like the South American neo-nazis. Cognitive dissonance is a wild thing.

"I monitored Trump failing to deliver on all his promises but it was only once he attacked me, personally, that I decided that mattered."

I don't know how to react to people that are this detached from reality.

These idiots can go fuck themselves. They wanted to close the door after they got in and helped ruin the country. Short-sighted ignorant selfish idiots.

"Pulling the ladder up behind you" energy.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 9 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

Feels more like these people are pulling the ladder down in front of themselves.

He banned Somalians back in 2017 too. People have short memories and are so easily manipulated. That this is a surprise to them would be hilarious if it wasn’t so toxic

bigotry is quite a useful distraction to make them forget.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Minorities and women who support Trump are some of the most abusive, narcissistic, manipulative and deplorable people you'd ever meet in your life.

They support Trump because they see themselves in him.
