He never heard about Putin?

he works for putin, and russia is at odds with ISRAELI influence due to russia being allied with IRAN.

Thank you, I almost found myself agreeing with Tucker Carlson

He gave Putin the ultimate softball interview. It was absolutely deplorable.

Wonder if Carlson will get Kirked too, the more these animals turn on each other the better it'll be for the rest of us

I’m pretty confused at the responses here. Is the quirky chess guy that known for having weird political opinions? These comments are making him out to be some outspoken white nationalist, especially with “Western Civilization” in there not helping. I appreciate more critical eyes on the madman at this helm but I don’t even know how to interpret this news.

EDIT: I read that headline catastrophically wrong. This is in fact not about the Norwegian chess guy.

Don't fall for anything this snake says.

He is certainly bad for one specific area, but is he really a threat to anyone else?

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yes. He is a major proponent of fascism in the world. The Jewish lobby in the US is firmly on his side and has been instrumental in getting Trump elected. The genocide in Gaza is a major factor in undermining international law and ethical standards being applied to states (the Europeans are criminally complicit here). So yes, beyond being a devastating blight on his own country, he's a major player in making the world a worse place. Surely not number one, but right up there in the top ten.

Indeed, if I were to write a top ten list, in no particular order, it’d contain:

  • netanyahu
  • putin
  • trump
  • xi
  • murdoch
  • musk
  • Insert your own favorite fascists here

I think Mohammed bin Salman and Erdolf should be pretty high on the list. They're both not content with just fucking up their own countries but like to play imperialistic power games and spread fascist ideology.

Yeah I could agree with putting him in the top 10
