Serious question: how is this any different than any of his previous “I have a plan” moments? He met with Putin a few months ago to negotiate peace, which didn’t go anywhere. I think he did it a time before that too.
Ukraine has held firm and Europe is backing them, so why is anyone acting like this is actually realistic?
Well, it is slightly different than a while back. Before the US was giving aid to Ukraine, so there was actually a bargaining chip there. Now the US is doing nothing, so who the fuck cares? Trump is just making the US look incompetent, which might actually be the point.

No. Zero, as far as I'm aware. We now allow the sale of weapons to European allies who are allowed to give it to Ukraine, but I believe the US gives nothing currently.
