Heartbreaking: worst person you know etc etc
Kind of like his fantasy about Charlie Kirk's wife.
smart people living in the real world
so not JD Vance
A fantasy… like free sofas for all? Or some other sort of fantasy?
Maybe Vance should read ISW's reports?
There's tons of expertise out there, and it's sad that Twitter memes seem to have more impact on policy.
Very unserious report. Enough lies to discredit it all, though I'm unsure of some of the claims.
It’s almost like they’re worried if Russia doesn’t win a equine felatio video starring pedo Antoinette will be released
Remember when Afghanistan had no chance?
Imagine thinking that an extended insurgency is comparable to a war between two state militaries.
Can you find an example of anyone actually saying that?
He's 100% right. US needs to start wars it can win, instead. Sorry Canada and other friends. You're too pathethic to defend yourself, and will pretend that role/mission of US force amplification is still your purpose, because all of your politicians/establishment grew up with that purpose that was required to be electable at the time.
It just makes everyone insisting on this perpetual war look bad.
Ukraine has already won
Lol
What color is the sky in your world, traveller?
The fell for it again award for US vassals
They won that under obama
So there is no way the Taliban beat both Russia and the US in Afghanistan?
Afghanistan had a heavily armed population in a mountainous and very cavernous terrain where air support was a liability and heavy infantry/armored divisions were absolutely useless, not to mention a very motivated guerrilla popping up from every corner.
Ukraine is running out of their sponsor's money and gear, and they have to kidnap young people off the streets to get enough cannon fodder. That's not even close to a comparable situation. Try living in the real world for maybe an hour and you'll stop being blindsided by your copium dreams.
I have no idea how all this will end. However you might want to consider that west has put very little effort into helping Ukraine. Both Russia and the US have not lived up to their obligations. Both guaranteed the intergity of Ukraine by treaty. Russia invaded and the US and the west did not stop it though we could have at any time.
The only way the US could have stopped it would have been not to coup Yanukovich in the first place or engage in an all-out war with Russia that would kickstart WW3 and, most likely, nuclear war.
As Marxist-Leninists have been saying from the first month of the engagement, the point has never been for Ukraine to win with full support from the west, but to use an expendable proxy to attempt weakening a perceived threat with as little commitment as humanly possible, I can't believe y'all keep falling for the same transparent playbook.
Exactly. To go further this was a 100% US initiated war. A propaganda strategy meant to fake otherwise in order for Russians to think they should not defend themselves was only a strategy to maintain our sides weapons profits. The main US victory in the war was capturing Europe energy and weapon sales, and instilling a militarist attitude towards Russia. It would be an even greater US victory if Europe spends 5% of GDP on US weapons to lose a fight against Russia on its own.
Yes, I have wondered about the partial support too.
Might be true. However never under estimate the indecisiveness and incompetence of US leadership and take it as a plan. Russian propaganda and the MAGA crowd too have had big effects also. By in large too the west wants Russia stable. Besides Ukraine is not a core issue in the US.
Nuclear weapons are useless. No one can use them.
Are you talking about the Minsk agreements?
