He's 100% right. US needs to start wars it can win, instead. Sorry Canada and other friends. You're too pathethic to defend yourself, and will pretend that role/mission of US force amplification is still your purpose, because all of your politicians/establishment grew up with that purpose that was required to be electable at the time.

It just makes everyone insisting on this perpetual war look bad.
