Absolute dogshit position especially considering only a small minority of Taiwan actually wants independence lol.

Reminds me of how more English and Welsh people want Scotland to remain in the UK than Scottish people.

Almost like it was always an incoherent position

Anti-war-ists: wojak-nooo

Full understanders of the core of international geopolitics: some-controversy

I was gonna say "what an incoherent take" to support those two causes at once But then I remembered that many people think imperialism is when big country mean to smaller country

Fake country founded by imperialist settlers trying to further deepen ties with a different fake country founded by imperialist settlers

They might be a few exceptions but all modern states are fake countries founded by imperialists.

Billions of people live in countries not founded by imperialists

Lin added that Taiwanese diplomats are instructed to avoid involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, except on humanitarian matters. “We provide a lot of humanitarian aid to both sides, including the Gaza Strip and Palestine,” AP quoted Lin as saying.

Ok, given this, my sense is that the statement at the top is more to stay in the US's good graces than any sort of deep, genuine support of Israel over Palestine.

to stay in the US's good graces

It's the DPP, they basically ARE the US. I doubt any of them have any actual independent thoughts on anything important not placed in their minds by the US Department of State.

Almost every country in the world aligns with the one-china principle, including Israel.

Notably, also including the Republic of China (AKA Taiwan). This is just DPP cope.

And I still have people literally yelling at me because I refuse to believe the slopaganda from the al-Shaytan al-Akbar regarding Uyghurs - authored by the same hyper-Islamophobic Nazis that are presently committing a Final Solution.
