Thanks, i thought the official app is no longer in development?
EDIT: i did not check before commenting but the link doesn't include Android version
Weird - I just got a notification about v2.09 the other day, and that was the only version listed in F-Droid (or wherever I went to get it for a new phone, haha).
I had to grab the version I keep at home on my server, because there are significant changes in 2.09 and I have numerous devices using it so didn't want to go changing right now.
The current version in Fdroid is 2.0.11.2 which is also from the nowhere-to-be-found developer
https://f-droid.org/packages/com.github.catfriend1.syncthingfork/

:( Yeah well I don't know anything about the developer but I imagine Google announcing they were going to fully enshittify Android by locking down probably took a lot of wind out of their sails even if the decision is being walked back, it shows the longterm intent of the people managing Android and it is actively hostile to developers who make things like Syncthing that threaten Google's control.
Deleting the repo was kind of a dick move to the users though. I wonder if there's more to it or if it's what it looks like.
this might be the best github fork atm
TIL one of the Lemmy devs is also a Syncthing dev, the official app - https://github.com/nel0x/syncthing-android-gplay#acknowledgments

I don’t know for sure, but probably another repository reset in progress by @Catfriend1.
There was a temporary similar “outage” back in July with rewritten history, apparently something inappropriate was recorded in the repo history they wanted cleaned out. The repo came back after that. I have no idea if this is the same thing, or if they just got tired of maintaining it. Could be an opportunity for someone else to step up with a mirror, if they wished to. (Maintaining open source software is a largely thankless chore, FYI  )
