I'm sorry for your loss.
I lost my girl yesterday to kidney failure. The first 24 hours are the hardest. So many missed routines and the constant reminders everywhere. All we can do is give them the best life during the time they have. Stay strong, the time spent together is worth the pain of the loss 100x over.
It's been almost a year here (he died of stress because of the fireworks) and I'm still devastated.

Poor baby. Just this week I saw someone hit a cat in front of me and keep driving. I pulled over and tried to save it but he passed away before I got him in the car after he cut up my leg in confusion. No microchip so I gave him a proper, respectful burial. Then I came inside and let all my babies know how important they are to me.
Ouch I'm so sorry. Lost a dog that way one time - he slipped his collar and trotted into traffic. :(
