The updated Aurora sneak peek doesn't look particularly different from the current model which is great. The only thing I could spot here was the addition of door panels inside and outside the ship though there's obviously more we can't see from this pic. I'm happy with that, I was worried they upsized it, added a larger interior or did something similarly ridiculous.

It's also getting some new audio and visual effects! I can't wait.

“We are bringing back the ability to have two weapons stored on your back while you hold a third one in your hands.” Core Gameplay Team

Freaking finally! I was afraid we'd never get this back. I love it.

Following positive feedback on the faction competition missions (...)

Huh, most of my experience (and opinions of others I've seen) said they were broken and extremely boring due to lack of variety, simple tasks and level design. Looks like plenty of people felt differently.

The team also completed a major loot refresh, with the devs updating the UGF and Distribution Centers to give greater future control and bring them up to par with the current design.

Well, I haven't seen any worthwhile loot in UGFs since the last patch (I think?) so I'm curious if that's something we'll see in the future or if something got borked and the work just isn't present in game.

Some existing missions will move over to the Nyx system with new narrative elements, while some older content will return, including Missing Person, Blackbox Recovery, and Retrieve Cargo.

Nice to see some of the old content returning.

I'm pretty sure that CIG restoring our ability to have a 3rd weapon (in our hands) has to do with the recent Engineering Tech-Preview.

It was super frustrating to have a fire on your ship, look at the fire hydrant and be told that you had to swap it with one of the weapons on your back.

Then you would be scrambling to find a nearby storage compartment to stash your weapon (because who wants to take a chance when dropping it means it might fall through the floor).

There were a lot of players frustrated with having to do that.

I mean... if you're running around in full gear in your ship instead of stowing stuff when it's not needed I don't really mind some kind of "punishment". That's just me though, someone who tends to gear up based on immersion rather than "it's a game, I'mma just run with everything on me".

Regardless of the reason I'm just glad it's coming back. It can be a real coin toss whether an old feature makes it back or not so it's nice to have a confirmation.

Yeah, I'm fine with stowing stuff once we get working suit lockers. Even though, once they do that, they'll likely implement the restrictions so you can't pilot in heavy armor.

They talked about it briefly a year or two ago and not being able to pilot in heavy gear is no longer the plan - they're leaning towards lower G-force resistance instead. They might change their minds again but that's the last official word on it that I'm aware of.
