I'm curious, do people downvote it because even after 4 years of kidnappings with countless recordings of this happenning daily they still consider it "Russian propaganda", or are we fully in the "yes, it's happening, but it's not a big deal and we shouldn't talk about it"?

I assume because they haven't seen the openly published evidence of them TORTURING and generally flogging, threatening their conscripts.
Banning all footage and articles of this from lib servers is a surefire way to keep their narrative alive. Along with calling anyone who dares mention this a Putin troll.
In many ways it is harder to find even regular social libertarian antiimperialist vibes people on there lol. Can't even find people posting Al Jazeera or anything, which we should all be having conversations abt the shortcomings of at this point, not treating like something radical
They fear too many people will start asking why Ukrainians don't want to fight and die for America's geopolitical interests
Yes, because defending their own sovereignty is "America's geopolitical interests". ffs
No, defending their sovereignty is what the people of the Donbas did after the US couped Yanukovich.
There is no sovereignty under the rule of a US puppet regime.
OK Vladmir.
I mean just find a Ukrainian online and talk to them. Every young man from Ukraine knows really well what "busification" is and has experienced it themselves or has friends who have.
Of course we need to talk about problems, im not very invested nor do i know much about the situation, i did however see this video : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J9niN4jiRig where the desertion problem was discussed. @ 12:10 -ish into the video. Basically what is said is that there is a problem where they cant choose what unit they sign up to but if they desert and then come back within a couple of days they can enlist again and choose their prefered unit, dont know if its true but that is also a take on the situation.
"No news is bad news."
This is why whenever we don't hear Western media trying to prop up Ukraine, it's because there's nothing to prop up.
I have a male Ukrainian friend. His girlfriend lived in a student dormitory in another part of the city when the "busification" started. One day a neighbour of hers tried to rape her, and when she started to resist, he punched her in the abdomen area so hard she got a serious vaginal bleeding. My friend obviously wanted to rush to the dormitory to beat the fuck out of the guy and help his girlfriend but he simply couldn't because he would immediately get enrolled and sent to the warzone. And this is almost a good story compared to others I've heard...
The Quincy Institute lmfao, this Anatol Lieven guy still believes Ukrainian official casualty figures & battlefield claims. So if you take issue with them, 🇺🇦 guys, just know this think tank is very soft and frames everything from a sensible neurotic "nuclear war is scary" American policy debate overdosed perspective
